Knitting Time

My little musings for the day.

I am getting no where at all with my knitting.  So, today I've decided to just get the sweater out and hold it for awhile.  Sometimes playing with beads and rock slabs ignites the desire to make things; maybe holding my knitting will work for this knitting slump.

Blogspot is misbehaving.  Hopefully it doesn't go down.  It's too bad about bloggers moving on, but maybe it's like anything else.  It has to fade out when the new rolls around.  Facebook is all the rage now, though I honestly don't understand why.  It's not very personal  and is shot full of security risks.  It put a comma on the end of privacy warnings, when what should be there is a period.

I hope holding the sweater and imagining it finished and being worn will do something for this "Ocean of Blahs" I'm in!  Dead in the Water!  Maybe this doldrums is because the biggest political fights are over, temporarily.

Actually the "health care debate" was a human rights issue.  That, health care as a human right,  is HUGE compared to anything political.  Not couching the health care struggle as a human rights issue was the first mistake anyone made.  Only those who are truly wealthy are safely in harbors at nightfall.  Certainly this harbor is not available to people living in a house that is a million dollars on paper, and needing 500k worth of upgrades.  That sort of silly paper wealth doesn't  make most of us millionaires.  It makes us vulnerable to the vultures in life but doesn't make us  millionaires.

  1. Well thank you, Mike. I tend to stay away from commercial sites if I can, but I thank you for the consideration.

    Best Wishes!

  2. I think Facebook has its place, but for me it just does not serve the same purpose as a blog. Too short, too hard to go back to posts you want to read again.

I'm sure your crafty mojo will be back soon. I am nearly always too busy to sit still much once spring comes along.

  3. Face book is good for big families to all be in a group on it. But it's not anything like blogging. This is the best thing for sharing hobbies and thoughts, without having to be a published author, and I hope it doesn't go away.

Face book is a big time sink for me. I like farmville and petville too much, me thinks. heehee I love them! I like the little hearts you can send people too, but Facebook recently added an automatic sharing item that went unnoticed at the end of March, and that's when I decided that I'd had enough of trying to keep things more private.

  4. I have to ignore all the Farmville. etc posts lest I fall into yet another time sink. My sister and I have a blazing ongoing Bejeweled battle on Facebook that wastes more time than I like to admit.

Oh, you can shut off seeing other people's apps' announcements. I'm not sure how but it can be done. lol
