Today DH and I went shopping and I got two sizes of thread to make these bandages for tropical sores. This is very mindless knitting and I am glad of it. Mindless is how I feel at the moment. Thanks to Naprous from Knitter's Review for the information and the web site for this cause. Now I feel like the minutes I can steal away from HTML fiddling will have a higher purpose!
I got my picture back. In fact I like it better. Now to get a different font without having to wrestle with someone else's linked CSS! But really, I should declare a truce and just knit.
A higher purpose!
You're knitting bandages? Do tell us more!
ReplyDeleteKaren check in my links for for the site that Naprous from KR gives out. It has information on the bandages. I think doing these and making little matts for the animal shelters is going to be what I will do instead of tweeking the untweekable. hehe
ReplyDeleteGrin. You've done a good job tweaking so far.
ReplyDeleteKudos to you for doing such wonderful charity work - I am not sure I could fit it into my schedule at the moment (it's time to get started on the Christmas socks).
Oh Christimas Knitting! *slaps forehead* Thanks for reminding me.
ReplyDeleteAnd tweaking.. I seem to like it too much. It's a lot of fun really, after you stop pulling out your hair. =o)
The charity knitting is just amazing in what it does for my morale. It's like an invisible connection to what's right in the world that you sooooo miss from the political machine mess. These bandages are small sweet reminders of what others are doing, too.
