That's Trekking, isn't it? I don't think you can get regular Trekking (meaning not the stripes or Jacquard) to match, but it makes it all the more unique. I really like the blue colorway. Maybe next time I buy yarn...
I love the color as well. Such a rich, deep blue. You'll only see the tops of them sticking out from his hiking boots so what the heck... unless he's a Birkenstock and socks kinda guy :D
Trish, the only thing on the skein is a number, TrekkerXXL, #104. It's a beautiful yarn to knit with, too. Alison, I'm glad that most of it doesn't match. I thought I'd gotten the right part of the yarn to start the second sock but NOPE! Glad to know that it's just that way. =0)
Rho and Sharon, I'm so glad he doesn't mind. The sooner these socks are finished, the sooner his sweater gets another go... I can't let that sweater languish anymore.
Wabbitmom, happily he's not a birkinstock kinda guy. hehe. He's Bootman. His feet are nearly worn out from dress shoes all those years. His boots are very comfy.
They are so lovely, nice colour and of course DH doesn't mind if they don't match, you are making them for him and I am sure that is all that matters.
