LYS Run and a Photo Op for my Cats!

Yes, I do have a few cats.

While DH was having minor surgery, I went down to the yarn shop down the hill in Pacific Beach to pick up the two sets of the lace addis that had arrived. Yay! I also found Interweave Knits-inside of which is a new toe up sock pattern to try. When I got home there was the cone yarn, not pictured, that is gray lace weight and will be some scarves, and some lovely yarn from Pugknit's Etsy Store. big, BIG YAY!

  1. That toe-up sock pattern is up near the top of my to-do list. I reread the directions last night before I fell alseep. (Do you suppose that will make the whole process come naturally when I finally start work on them?)

I added a new hat pattern (reversible this time) on my blog yesterday if you're interested :-)

  2. I'm always interested in your hats Sarah-hope and I'll trot right on over there. Thanks for sharing your hat patterns!

Oh yes, I read that pattern last night, too, while getting ready to go to sleep. I hope it helps to do so, too! Every bit helps with toe ups. My worry is that the heel part won't be deep enough. We'll see =0)

Hope hubby came thru fine from the surgery and is feeling perky again.

Damn word verification - 8 letters long and 4 of my biggies in dyslexia - hope it goes thru the first time ....

  4. Rho, thank you for slogging through it; I appreciate that. I changed it to something else so we will see. Emailed you about it, too. =o)

  5. PS, I'm still not sure about the size of the heel being deep enough, perhaps it can be adjusted.

And thanks Rho, we are waiting for the lab results but it looks pretty good.

  7. Vanessa, you're welcome. I encourage people to go look at your tile surround for the fireplace. =0)

Thanks for the toe up link. It's worsted weight so it should be a good thing for new bed socks and useful to turn out some toe ups.

Gretchen is on the lace addis but I was knitting the ribbing to the Aran sweater and came across a knot. Was not pleased, no pun intended. More about that on the blog. So far the lace addies are pointier but with a longer needle lead than the nickle plated 3s. I hope they know what they are doing sticking such a long needle lead on slightly sticky circs. Hmmm.. time will tell. More later as I'm going to start on Gretchen this afternoon.

PS to Rho. I have to do the word thing two or three times, too. They make some letter look alike!
