It's cooler today and I wasn't flat out in front of the fan in spritzed clothing but was actually enjoying some sewing and a little reading. This summer was bound to have it's spike points of heat to match last winters spike points of chill. We just almost have never had 20 degree winter nights. That was so cold that no one would advise a brass monkey to go out of doors.
There are no pictures of knitting but there might be, if I can leave off the blood sports with appendages long enough, pictures of post cards... it's still too hot to be knitting no matter what other more air conditioned knitters are doing, this is not going to happen here in Hell, California. Sweating on knitting is still frowned upon in most polite knitting circles, in fact, drooling is probably ok, but not sweating. Do not be fooled by the term, sweaters for all over garments that fit over the boobular areas. Well, on women, shall we say.
I'm going to regret saying most of this, but that's what severe heat does. It makes you reckless and daring of word and deed, or even a homicidal maniac. Later, when regret sets in, and you realize you've blown your nicey nicey little image, you can repent.

Oh, you poort thing! You need a nice cold beverage and a day of laying on the sofa with a good book!
ReplyDeleteLol Vicki. Yes, lots of ice and a little gin, please. And I will fill up the tubby, sit in it with the iced drink, and veg. =o)
ReplyDeleteHeavens to Betsy they are done and as soon as my "hair" is dry, they will be on their merry way.
Pfhttt! Everyone's cranky in this heat.
ReplyDeleteBut you still manage to give me a grin and a new adjective, boobular?...:-)
Why thank you Trish. It's nice to receive cart blanc for running amok! heehee And boobular is and old Sewing World term for when we got off on bra sizes and the attempts we all made to find good ones that were not made of concrete. =o)
