PJ, thanks for your comments on the windows. I am so thrilled to have them. We have waited so long to be able to get them. They are already making a difference in the temps in the house at night. They are so easy to clean, too. Now to paint the outside, the inside, and the kitchen sprucing up. All of that we can manage ourselves with patience, putty and paint rollers. :D
They are beautiful and homey. I'm glad they have the added benefit of keeping you warmer. But how on earth did I come out as "A Prayer for Owen Meany?" Shouldn't you at least be a book you've heard of? And what is all this talk about LOUD? Sheesh. Is this because I opted for the armadillo?

I really can't figure that quiz out. I wanted to be Watership Down, like Rho, but came out as The Hobbit. Well I do like furry footed critters - It's a good thing!
I'll shut up about the windows soon but I just wanted to say that they make it warmer in winter and cooler in summer, that is, the "cool" lasts later in the day. We have our fingers crossed for it because, in truth, that was a major reason for getting them. The big slider was a surprise. The garden window for the kitchen got nixed (by me) immediately so this was a great surprise. I never dreamed it would be so dramatic and so beautiful.
What beautiful windows! That really makes a difference- looks, weatherwise, and increasing value.
