The blog header picture is off the end of Point Reyes, at the light house. I set the camera on portrait, and chose a fast film speed, and then sharpened it. I was trying for something like a painting.
The purple glove is coming out too darn big. So, it must be frogged back and knit on size 0 steel needles. It was "now or never" because it was up to the fingers. Beyond that mark, there are too many little bits to undo and it's wasteful. It's a very tricky business, making gloves for hands that are 500 miles away.
I love the new header pic! Very artsy fartsy. hehe
ReplyDeletethat photograph is awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you AR. I like what these digital cameras can do. And, being Artsy Fartsy has saved me from taking my sad crayola box of life TOO very seriously. It's been much better than having to think about Art with a capital "A" as a lifestyle. =o)
ReplyDeleteVicki! Thank you, too. You are going strong with the new camera. I've been peeking at your blog and all the birds that flitted through your life recently.
New header and blog design look great! Thanks for stopping by over at mine.(I only get mean fortune cookies these days, maybe I go to the wrong restaurants?)
ReplyDeletegale, thank you for stopping by for a look and your nice comments on the header. Ah, fortune cookies. I have three stuck on the front of the monitor so as to remember what is important in life. Wealth, Power and the Envy of others. Just joking!!
ReplyDeleteMean fortune cookies? wow. I'm trying to think where to get them to give to enemies. teehee
Once DH and I took a fortune out of a cookie (with my skinny jewelry making tweezers) and put a new one in so we could give it to my friend who was moving to Italy with her hubby. She was very, very upset to be leaving. We made it all good fortune things and a little mystery, and it took her awhile to realize that we had made it up especially for her. We all got a good laugh but we still wished all those good things for her.
