It's going to be close. I'll weigh it again when it's up to the toes. The most interesting thing I did all day was to weight that sock. I have a balance beam scale so it's pretty accurate.
Rain, glorious rain. We must have gotten .01 of an inch in the last night and in the early morning.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you ...
ReplyDeleteYeah, I am hoping there would be a moderate storm here before the real warm weather comes ... we need the water!
Well,Agnes, I hope you get a nice polite and soaking rain because it's on the way to you since yesterday afternoon.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for crossing your fingers for the sock yarn to make it. But, if it doesn't, I get to buy some more plain yarn, for the toe. *Thinks about more sock yarn to add to stash* :D
It's funny how your finger-crossing sock finishing follows on the heels of your "too much stash" pictures. I guess it's all in the balance between what you have, what you want, and what you need.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, ellen, I am of two minds on this, 'tis true.
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to figure out if there is anything in this house that can be used for those toes. Most of the sock yarn is at best, well, "trippy"! There is one black wool sweater that could donate an "arm". The yarn is fine enough.
*goes to hide the scissors from herself*
Those are very pretty socks :-)
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you Courtney, and someday they will actually be finished. :-\ I'm in a knitting slump atm.
