Sock Puppets?

 

This Lana Grossa yarn is turning out lovely in the coloration. DH is pleased with his new socks now. The Panda Bamboo/Cotton is still a little too splitty for any fast or mindless knitting. You have to keep your eyes firmly ON that stuff. But I really like it anyway. The pink and purple spindle spun is just inside the black project bag. I count winding yarn as a few little points on the bars. It was cool winding it into those itty bitty balls and contemplating the knitting.

Socks at this point (in the gusset) always remind me of baby birds, with the needles as the bright golden ring around their little mouths. I put them on my hands and the socks have been talking to each other. Yes, I'm a former puppet lover, the stringless kind. I could never work the ones on strings, though they are truly my favorite things. San Diego used to have Puppet Theater every Saturday in the Park, and we would take the kids there to see the puppet shows. Very good memories.

It's Spring and Birds are nesting. The hummingbird was trying to get the spider webs for her nest the other morning. She was checking out all the eaves for spider silk. I'm thinking that is the bird dot, that little hummer taking off to get out of range of my camera!
