Ousted Kitty spots sweet talking camera freak

The Tabby who has lost her home. The two cats have a rigorous daily routine. They pass through our yard after going for the free food, at various locations, twice a day. The rest of the day they sun themselves in our yard or on the roof next door. And at night they keep the rodents from over running the neighborhood. Since the whole yard next door is under renovation, this is now going to be the safest place to catch sun. The other kitty is a beautiful little calico.

I'm awfully sorry about four posts in one day and no knitting. I should be flogged with acrylic superbulky, I know. *Hangs head*

Oh, YARN NEWS!!! The skeins of Noro went out today to Cynthia in the midlands. This was from the "Help Save Yukon Jack" campaign that Pugknits engineered and fit into her really backbreaking schedule! Well done, Pugknits!

And now, I am really out of here. If I could drink I would be going to get a gallon sized Cadillac Margarita and crash in front of the TV.

Have fun! Stay alive! Love and Laugh. Because if you don't laugh then you just gotta cry.

  1. Thanks so much for your comment on my blog -- you're the first person to mention the Useful Things! It's the one thing there's no place for (yet) on Ravelry ...

I love your defense of stash. Made me laugh. Plus, mine's not as big as yours. :)

  2. Yeh, I know. Knitting blog and all that. But your blog is so much more! It is serendipitous! It makes the heart happy. A wonderful pic of a napping kitty, beautiful rose and a story about a jay that demonstrates the completeness of Nature. Life is good. (here's wishing the cats safety and health)

  3. Hilary, hi there and you're welcome because I so love those links. They really are handy ones. I'm getting forgetful. Soon my children will be putting my rocking chair by the fire and bringing me gruel three times a day. That will be after they raid the stash. I can only plead insanity for the yarn hoarding. Join me?

Meribeth, thank you for your nice comments about something I've been thinking of as sort of haphazard blog theme development. It started out all knitting but then the baseline idiots in Washington DC went from bad to worse, infecting everything in their path. Judicial, Congressional, and the Department of Defense, all of whom have legitimate jobs to do to control the ambitions of a Ceasar.

It also frosts my cookies the way they are trying to shut down scientists about global warming. It's a little like the manic playing of an ONLINE game to see how much you can amass before the Devs pull the plug. I've watched it happen and applied the lesson to the real world.

See, off the deep end. I'd better stick with "Beauty all around you" theme.

Oh, the kitties. They will get shelter and water in our yard to bolster any they have found otherwise. We'll watch out for them. We can't really give them a permanent home, sadly. They are feral actually. They will tolerate you looking at them but they don't want anyone nearer than a 7 feet away. Yes, I eyeballed the distance of approachability one day.

  4. Thank you for your thoughtful comments. But forget yarn porn; stop with the spring weather poprn. I can't stand it. It's 45 degrees and raining drippily here.

  5. You're welcome, beverlylynne, and I just looked at your rainy day picture. I'm sorry for the spring porn. hehe.. No, truly I am sorry Spring is not co-operating with you atm.

I have some storm clouds from our last storm a week ago, but the temperature was a warm 60*F. I will try to put some snow fall in front of the clouds before posting the Sky Watcher.
