Look carefully and you can see her buried up to the front of her shell. I was taking a photo of "little monsters" on a yellow rose, and puffs of dirt were flying up behind it! Poko is laying her eggs. Now if we can just keep the critters from digging them up, we might have more desert tortoises to raise.

Oh Meribeth, I've wanted a fence and gate, human height and made of crooked little branches, for ages.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately,the last time we put up a barricade, it was like a short fence, and i tripped over it and landed on my wrists and forearms. No breaks but very close call. We now have what we call, "free range tortoises". ;o)
