Beautiful countertop! Your kitchen will truly be a gem! I've thought a lot about yours in planning to re-do ours, still the original 1986 model. We had water damage from a storm and have some insurance money in hand. We're just trying to figure out how to spend it as wisely as it looks like you're doing!
Sam, thanks! And you will find that granite might be a local product and not quite as expensive for you that way. And, have a look at a bamboo butcher block on the cook side, we got that instead of granite the whole way around. It's also a shorter height which is going to work out really grand for me. There is so much space in the kitchen now that it will be lovely to cook and bake in there. Good luck with your kitchen remodel. Have fun with the design. I sure did.
Knittinreed, thanks, not only is the Solar dyed yarn soft it smells really lovely, too. You know how some yarns have a chemical smell? Not this one; it smells so good.
