Lella, the jelly bag ( or jeely bag as a Scot would say ) is the nylon or muslin bag that you strain cooked fruit through in order to keep the liquid to use as fruit jelly/jam, like blackcurrant jelly or bramble jelly.

Hello there, Magnusmom, I was thinking of printing that bamboo color play to make a nice big picture for my wall. The bamboo grows along a fence in Balboa Park.
ReplyDeleteAnd, thanks for letting me know what a jelly bag was. My mom used cheese cloth in a colander to separate juice for jelly. Almost the same method. Thanks for answering my question so quickly! :)
