This scares the hell out of me. Now I have no illusions at all about why we have this helter skelter mass hysteria over the economy AT THIS TIME, when we really should be dealing with issues of security in our voting systems. We should throw out ALL the screens and go back to paper ballots. Cards even have a level of security when it comes to what is NOT available using electronic data over telephone lines.
I think we've been had, and badly.

Just wow. I have often wondered why John McCain looks so confident when it seems obvious to me that his popularity is sliding inexorably down. I have the awful feeling that it is because all he has to do is keep it high enough to make his win plausible. He does not actually have to "win". I'm with you. I'm worried.
