This is a basket of organic fresh herbs at the farmer's market today. It looks absolutely luscious, doesn't it.
Pictures or tortoises will be tomorrow. I'm not knitting at all. But it will return sometime I'm sure. I'm reading Amy Tan's book of essays called, The Opposite of Fate.
I just finished reading Vinegar Road, a beautifully written book about what happens in a family with lots of dark secrets. This is a family where no one ever tells about what has happened in the past, so they live twisted lives. It's a story about how destructive of dreams and hopes that is, to not get help with abusive childhood issues.
A person whose mind is full of things other than pretty stories, should really talk it out with someone else who can help. It's the only way to not pass it on and ruin other lives. It's the most important gift that you can give to your own new family.
