DH found another little jewel like creature, who will now be called Milagro because DH wanted to call the first one Dusty as it was very dusty when found.
The next door neighbor found another one, but it had expired in the heat of the neighbor's driveway, poor little thing. There could be more. We told our neighbor that if he should find another one, he should keep it and raise it. They also have three tortoises. He told us that his wife would be very happy to do that.
If these two little ones live to be five years old, past infancy and childhood, that means we will have five tortoises. That has to be enough for any one family to handle. I'm really over the moon! What a delight. They have to be kept up all year for several years, no hibernation for these tiny ones, so it's going to be fun.

ReplyDeleteLol! It sure does, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteLast time around we had 7 of them to try to get through the first four years, awake and happy. Well, they do sleep at night and take little day naps. :-) they are cute when they nap.
