The product described HERE is so amazing that it's almost too good to be true. I hope it stands up to the test of time, and that our farmers, who may well find themselves without the necessary water to grow such crops as corn, either for feed or fuel, will have a drought tolerant cash crop like industrial hemp to grow, that has a market. That is if China doesn't beat us to the punch.
I think of this as a good news post. If we can get the government off the dime. Dime bags? Their subversive arm, the CIA, has reputedly been in the black market for a long time re: marijuana.
Our "founding fathers" - Washington, Jefferson, etc. - grew hemp on their plantations. It was grown in this country until the end of Prohibition when the "revenooers" were about to be out of jobs, and pushed through anti-drug legislation.
ReplyDeleteThe various species of hemp, all very easy to grow, using few resources, with many applications from paper to clothing to housing, evidently.
Like the Cuban embargo, the ban on hemp has outlived its useful life, and should be ended. Not all varieties of hemp can induce pleasure, so the Puritans among us can relax.
