Weight Day for Tortoises
The babies are growing. In the picture, the one on top is Milagro. Next is Dusty, and then on the bottom is Mosquito. They eat everyday, mostly kale and sometimes grass from the garden, and now they have a grow light for digestion and sunshine. Also, they have a red light for heat and sleeping. They can't see the red light but it keeps their habitat a toasty 70 degrees during the day.
We have gotten them an tiny round hygrometer, as well as a matching temperature gauge, from the pet store. It's a good thing that reptiles have become such popular pets. These things weren't so easy to find 13 years ago when big brother Lucky and his sisters and brothers were born.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures.
