Barefoot Mountain Colors, Wildflower
This will be socks, of Course, though it appears to be sportweight. I'll wrap it and see what is to be seen! This is the odd ball from the LYS which I bought yesterday with a bit of return money and added cash. $16 for a pair of handknit socks is not bad at all! Yes, that is the luxury in my life and DHs. We are old and into comfort and basically tame things like climbing Mt. Whitney. hahaha!
It's 60%Superwash/ 25% mohair/15% nylon, so it's handwash only. I have a delicate setting on the machine which works well for handknit socks but I'll baby these like the other socks. When my paintbox regia socks started to get too short- now have to let out the toes- when I machine washed and dried them, I started just putting all the hand knit socks into a nylon bag, machine washed on delicate and then air dried them. This yarn will be knit in a lace pattern, like the Yukon Leaves knit a few years ago but probable another Spring Forward pair, if the gauge comes out on this heavier yarn. We'll see. Yukon Leaves is knit in BMC if memory serves.
On Ravelry, the Resolutions Group is having a Soctoberfest. So I fully intend to knit Spring Forward up for that. Sort of silly, it should be an Orange/Rust/Purple yarn for that. Maybe I'll find some scrolling through the stash today.
Is that enough knitting content to put you all to sleep? Good, I'll measure your feet for future sock projects! Or maybe just tickle them to wake you up!
