Baby Tort Weigh-in and new feed

Little feller on the scale weighing in at 24.77 grams

After the weigh in came the introduction to the new food ( that glop that smells like alfalfa, but looks ever so much like semi dry horse poodooo) is introduced. It's dried grasses for grassland tortoises.  I wet it so that she could be enticed to eat it.

So much of a tortoise's diet is dried grasses, I think around 90 %, that this stuff looks good for the baby. Yesterday she actually ate a whole dandilion flower, so that probably took care of appetite for a week. HAR!
