Foodie sites and Coloring book site... corrected link

A little something for everyone.

A friend was telling me about Battenburg cake, so I found a couple of sites for the cakes HERE and HERE.  Lovely!  When winter rolls around, I want to make some of these cakes.  The only one I've ever seen was in the movie, "Cold Comfort Farm" and it wasn't very clear about whether the hunks of cake the two women were eating was a whole slice or not.   Anyway, you can bet I'm putting both Bron's and Jeena's Site in the Foodie List!

I'm tracking down the yarn for the regia paintbox sox.. I think there's one more place to look.  I wish I'd been smarter and used Ravelry's nifty spiffy box to put in where the yarns one listed were stored!  gah!

We will take all the good news we can get.  The world of Men seems to be reverting to a Fourth Reich or something.  Nuf said.

It was a quiet Sunday.  I attended an auction and bought a big rock, and some rubble logs but did miss out on the plucked chicken.  Last week I built a new house near to my favorite little fishing hole.
