Ellen is right about that tree. And, I should know have known better. I only see Orchid trees all over the place in horticultural plantings. Gah!

I'm still hot on the trail of the Tulip tree, which is an entirely different critter. They are Big and very Beautiful, too. They were on the hill that fell down the canyon but there may be one or two left there.
