    kaleidoscope. 3 root word(all from the greek)
    Kal(i) --beautiful, well rounded, pleasingly shaped.

    eido --a way of being, thinking

    scope --to see

    I have a rather large collection of kaleidoscopes, and other similar scopes. One uses polarized (clear) glass to create the colors. works best in sun light, and differently in halogen, florescent and incandescent lights.

    Z, Glad you like it. You're crafty. I found some details for making them from all re-cycled materials on YouTube. Sound like fun?

    OfTroy. Thank you for the lovely definition of the origin of the word. I'm totally intrigued by the collection you have. Most interesting is the polarized glass. I'll dig around on the net to see what's out there. I want to make some of these things.

    It's lots better than sitting around fretting about that stupid group in Washington.

    I do exempt the Prez, because of the way the Bank thing turned out. Brilliant, it was, to get them all back under regulation as a trade off. We'll see about this one. hehe..
