Friday Fill-ins

ffi

Quote from the HOME PAGE  of Friday Fill-ins:

"I'm doing lyrics this week...but feel free to fill in WHATEVER you'd like. That's the way I roll. And...here we go!"

Go on over and join in the fun!

1. Bert Kaempfert's orchestra played Easy Listening Music?  Hmmm?
2. I've never heard of him, naturally.
3. So I'm packing my bags for YouTube, to see if I want to know about this.
4. I prefer Rock and Roll, the Heavy Metal Boys, Bluegrass, Classical (especially strings), Opera, Old Timey Music, Country (to a point), and of course, Rhythm and Blues.
5. Put the Kettle on.
6. Auntie Wise is coming and she dips her donut in my tea.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to Netflix-I love it!- and hot buttered popcorn, tomorrow my plans include getting ready to sew, and Sunday, I want to keep Silent Service, and then cut out some tiny dresses.  Today I got some Barbie patterns.  First ever in my life!

  2. We both want the kettle on! What does that say about bloggers I wonder? Good luck with the tiny dresses (I seem to remember making dresses for Barbie too, but a l-o-n-g time ago!!)

    1. Kwizgiver, isn't Netflix just Da Best! I'm so glad that we have it. We are now watching some good TV sans obnoxious commercials!

    2. I messed this up! lol

Chat Noir, yes, we both wanted that kettle on! I think bloggers like their cuppas, but in summer maybe iced? Summer is coming if anyone can believe it at this time of year!

And thanks for the good wishes for sewing for Barbie. I made doll clothes a million years ago, too. With no grands, and no grand nieces who played with dolls, it's been hard to figure out who to make things for.

  3. My grandmother used to sew all my Barbie clothes for my dolls when I was a girl. AMAZING to me....because I can't sew anything!

    1. What a wonderful memory to have, April. The first two girls only played with cloth dolls I made them, and the twins wanted some Tomasino dolls that were little boys; they were "complete" little boys. I made them bib pants with back buttons. hehe

I'm looking forward to making a bride's dress and a ball gown. Should be fun. I guess I should buy a Barbie doll, too. Hmmm?

  4. I love that the first four fill-ins flowed together. It was like reading a story. Maybe I'll try that next week!

    1. Why thank you, Unwritten. Stories are nice but I've enjoyed all the interesting things that others have put up, too. I look forward to reading all the fill ins on Friday!
