Saturday Nine, Saturday Komeekz, Funstuff

It's Saturday Nine, Duh!

I missed this question:

9. What will you remember most about 2013?
I will miss my mind.  Apparently I've started losing it!

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Saturday Nine.  Happy Holidays!

1. As you can see, when Sam Winters was a little girl, she loved giving her annual wish list to Santa. If you could ask Santa for anything at all, right now, what would it be?

Dear Santa, I want 20 2000 acres of forested land in Central Coast for an animal refuge, the wild Wingéd ones.  Thank you so much!

2. Are you currently on the Naughty or Nice list? How did you get there?
I'm probably on the naughty list this year.  I'm trying, mightily, to forgive all things unforgivable, and I'm not sure Santa likes that I have such grave thoughts.  'Tis the season, and all that.

3. Are you traveling this Christmas? If so, are you going by car, plane or train?
No Travels for me at this time.  We stay home for the Holidays every year. But we do decorate a little and go look at all the neighborhoods that are all lit up beautifully.  That's always fun.

4. Did you buy yourself a gift this year?
No, I usually don't, either.  That is, unless I want to brave the crowds on the 26th which I don't.

5. What's your favorite holiday-themed movie or TV special? Have you seen it yet this year?
My favorite movie for the hols is Prancer - though I do love "The Bishop's Wife" and "It's a Beautiful Life"  And, no, I haven't seen any of them yet.

6. Which do you prefer: candy canes or gingerbread?

To be honest, I prefer decorated sugar cookies
7. Close your eyes and tell us the first carol that comes to mind.

"O Holy Night"
8. What's your favorite winter beverage?

I used to like Egg Nog, a LOT, but I can't have that anymore.  So, I guess that's it for me, I'm stuck with Tea!

FunStuff: I am so bloddy boring!  But Here's something fun!  Remember, for your own sanity, you have to go looking for Funstuff that isn't just a media attempt at burying bad news.  Funstuff  will give your heart a rest from it's daily overdosing on angst, dread and the resultant anguish and anxiety.

Good Grief.  I can't count! And I double posted my link!  Sheesh!

Saturday Komeekz!  The Other Coast's possible take on  "Digging the Weans".  This new link goes to a PDF of what I think is the original tract by some Anthropologists who had a sense of humor.  I learned of them in college Anthro, and it was a total gas when the prof read a little bit of it to the class.

    1. Why thank you! We can all hope! I invite all my reader friends to the place if it comes my way. We can commune with nature and watch sunsets over the Pacific.

    1. See if you can get the Whitney Houston version, variously titled, too. It's a good one for Christmas, too.

  4. Welcome to Saturday 9. I used to feel the same way as you about tea -- like it was a consolation prize when better stuff isn't available. But I've discovered some new flavors (right now I've got pomegranate) and they smell so wonderful!

    1. Hi Gal! Thanks for the welcome. My sister had some of that flavor but I just got a whiff of the aroma. Next time I will "lift" one of the bags and secure it deep in the copious folds of my big black purse. hehe
