The Friday Night Fights??? Sunday Stealing The Threes Meme

March 7, 2015
Threes Meme

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme.

Let's go!!!

Threes Meme: From Remember the Stars

1. Three things that scare me:  Handguns, Spiders that bite big time, Black Ops

 2. Three people who make me laugh:  My brother, George Carlin, and Mr.Z.

3. Three things I love:  Things, ok - as in not living.  But only three?  Sheesh, only three.... hmm, only three......Sunsets, sunrises, Art

4. Three things I hate: aggression, greedy selfishness, lies

5. Three things I don't understand: Wars for profit, destruction of budding democracies, or even old ones like ours, and fur farming.

6. Three things on my desk: A wooden Snoopy on is Dog house paper holder made by DD2, a computer mouse, and a polk-a-dot tin from a blogger friend.

7. Three things I'm doing right now: the crossword, thinking about re-heating my tea, and wondering why I'm sitting - crookedly - on some fabric scraps that I left on the computer chair.  Ouch!

8. Three things I want to do before I die: I'd like to see the United States on a road trip, finish knitting the Manly Beastly Aran Sweater, and see my daughters more.

9. Three things I can do:  Grow plants from cuttings, I can still whistle through my fingers, and I can still enjoy a good laugh.

10. Three things I can't do: I can't play guitar anymore, can't sing well anymore, can't climb up the sides of cliffs anymore.  Well, I never could play a Harmonica, a Dobro, or a Concertina, three things I long to be able to play.

11. Three things you should listen to: Does this mean music?  If it means music, then listen to what you like because life is too short not to.  If it means three things to listen to, then listen to waterfalls, the surf, and the wind through the trees.

12. Three things you should never listen to:  Don't listen to manipulative bastards who just want to abuse your good nature, don't listen to bigots, don't listen to people you know, from past experience, are prone to lie.  Don't listen to most politicians or Corporate Leaders.  They lie a lot.  That ties in with question # 4.

13. Three things I'd like to learn: Someone said they would like to learn Latin.  Mr.Z learned Latin so I'd like to learn it, too.  I'd also like to learn how to make big pieces of handmade paper, and I'd like to learn how to take truly good photos.

14. Three favorite foods: Rice, BIG salads, chocolate

15. Three beverages I drink regularly: water, tea, and kombucha tea when I can get it.  My DD4 makes it.  It's so good!

16. Three shows I watched as a kid:  Harry Owens and his Royal Hawai'ians,  Rocky and Bullwinkle, and, of all things, The Friday Night Fights.

  1. I think you should buy yourself a Harmonica. Get one in C and give it a go.

    1. Oh thank you for that tip! I will. A friend's father could play all sizes, even a tiny one about 3 inches long. Amazing guy.

    1. :-) We do agree on lots of things, I think.....

Forgive my over thinking: I'll stop. One thing about Jane Austin was my being thrown by her double negatives. But I think I get what you're saying.

  4. Amen to the lying politicians! They tell us what we want to hear to get elected and then they go right ahead and vote the way they want to. Makes me crazy!

Big salads....YUM! I don't know if that means the same thing it means here, but I love a salad with steak or chicken and fries on it.

    1. Not all politicians lie on purpose. In truth, it happens because they get tugged along by the permanent bureaucracy and it's agenda, and oh boy do those guys have an agenda! Doesn't matter what side of the aisle, either. The revolving door needs to be slammed on some people's hands!

About salads, I am talking about dinner salads with protein, and the whole deal. They are lovely! Fries? Well, I haven't tried that yet but there's always a first time, eh?

  5. I would add George Carlin to my 3 people that make me laugh. I agree with you about politicians. Just stopping.

  6. Selena, since we could only have three, it made it tough. But then, some lists could be endless! hehe
Politicians need to watched carefully. But the watchers have their hands either tied, or in the tills so many times too!
