Sunday Stealing: A Question of Age....

Want to play along?  See other players posts? Then just go HERE

We found this gem  from a blog named A Striped Armchair. Eva is the name of its author, who started it at the age of 20 in 2007. She has stated that she started the blog to explore and write about her love of books. She shared, “My perfect afternoon is spent in my armchair with a fat book, my rescue mutt Thistle curled up in my lap, and huge mug of tea nearby.”

Like so many other blogs and authors, Eva’s posts stopped in September of 2015. We’ve discussed this about of blogs in general, and because of other social media and the like, we are not surprised Eva's days on her blog ended.

We have published today's post a bit late for us (most blogs of this type publish the day before its stated day. Our delay may also be because we are selling our home. We have already had a of of showings. With my ongoing disability and facing the reality that at my age of 65, let's face the fact that my peak career earning years are behind me so it's the perfect time to downsize. We have four bedrooms (although the "bedroom" off our den is the currently the WTIT Studio) with three full baths in a nine-room home. For two people at this stage of our lives, it is a bit much to maintain both from a physical standpoint and perhaps more importantly considering all things financial. Back to today's post: Eva was tagged for these questions by her friend Emily. And that is as far as we will go. We hope you will enjoy today’s post!

Cheers to all of us thieves!

Editor's Note: Today our questions have a different format. This is not a “fill-out-the-blank” exercise. Rather, we’d ask that you to “finish the paragraph”. As always, we are trying to learn more about you, our friend.

Sunday Stealing:  A Question of Age.

1. By a certain age, women should
Have as many civil rights as a Man does.

2. By a certain age men, should
Be less aggressive and make suitable fathers

3. When I was young I thought by now I would
.....be dead?

4. Now that I am older I wish
I'd taken more art classes sooner, and become an artist who could have an income to help support my family.

5. You know that you are too old to do an activity when...
you can't bend your knees to go up stairs.

6. You know you are too young to do an activity when....
Ahem... I can't remember being too young to do anything but vote.

7. When I was in high school I listened to the music of
Richie Valens, the Big Bopper, and Bill Haley and His Comets to name three.

8. When I was in college (or the next four years after high school) I listened to the music of
Connie Francis....

9. These days, at my age I find myself listening to the music of Oscar Isaac

And K.D. Lang.  I love this singer's voice, Crystalline, unfailingly beautiful...

10. For my last birthday I
Got a new gen nano.  I love it.. It's so tiny and amazing!

11. On my next birthday I want to
Still be breathing regularly as long as my hubby and 3 daughters are alive.  If this is the case then I want to celebrate it with the kids.

12. The best birthday present I ever got was
OK now, you must go See #10...

13. The first time I felt that I was an adult was when
I gave birth to my daughter Laura.

14. The last time I felt like I was still a kid was when
I got so terrible excited about a giant bag of Vinegar and Salt potato chips.  Yummy!

15. I would sum up 2016 by saying
I'm ever so glad that brass plated Bitch is over.

16. I hope I will sum up 2017 by saying in December...
We got to see our girls again

17. So far in terms of age, I feel my first big milestone was
Living through my fifties, and finally having such good doctors who immediately got a handle on my illnesses.

18. As I look forward to the rest of my life’s journey, I feel my biggest milestone of my life will be...   When I willingly give up my soul, and cross my fingers that I'm good enough to make the "cut"  lol

19. By the time I was the age I am now I am surprised that I haven’t yet  dropped of the twig? teehee

20. By the time I am 65, I hope that I have ...Oh Snap!  that was almost ten years ago!

Law 53. The network evening newscasts start off by saying "Good Evening" but then they proceed to spend the rest of the half hour explaining to us why it isn't.

  1. Good morning, Zippi! I just love reading your answers to everything each week. Your great attitude and zest for life is refreshing and inspiring. I hope I am half as vital when I reach your age.

    1. It's nice of you to say that, so thank you.
About vitality: Be aware of but accept physical decline, 'cause,Baby, you can slow it but can't stop it. Also, Let your sense of humor and of irony carry you through to the end. Will Rogers may have died in the snow, but he had a smile on his face. So did my girl. They are my inspiration.

    1. Thank you, Kwizgiver, I'm glad to be chatty and open most of the time. You will notice most angst and ire has moved off stage and "off Broadway." 🎭
I'll try to stay civil and relatively sane here, though sometimes will fail. 🐲

  4. Brass plated bitch! Yep. That covers it perfectly! And I love KD Lang, too. Too many musicians to mention. (And thank you for being my "mother hen.")

    1. You're very welcome, CountryDew. Once a mother hen, always a mother hen. I cherish the thought of pecking some miscreants to death. 🐓...that's a rooster, isn't it? I'm too long off the farm!
K.D. Lang fans rule, Yay! No, a list a mile long for me ,too.
The hoolgans on high? What can I say? "The Fox is in charge of the hen house" comes to mind.

    1. I hear that Harriet. These right wing pseudo Christian nut jobs would like to see us in aprons with wigs on to cover our temptress tresses. Or maybe even (shudders) in burkas.
