The Chicago Crazy Questions

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog
authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. You may have heard the expression, “honor among thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from. We also provide a link to the victim's questions in our "Previous Victims" widget. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from recently asked questions from a previously post.

We found this gem from a blogger called Johnny at Cannon Fodder. He explains that it was taken from Paterson si. I am in Chicago this weekend, thus the name But, it was probably stolen at that blog as well. But that is as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Like us on Facebook!

Cheers to all of us thieves!

Sunday Stealing: The Chicago Crazy Questions

1) What was your dream growing up?
My grandpa gave me wings.   I wanted to travel the world and draw and paint everything I saw.

2) What talent do you wish you had?
I wish I was good at Arithmetic.  Higher math with a slide rule or calculator, no sweat, but adding and subtracting columns -

*faints*

3) If I bought you a drink what would it be?
I'd like a Cadillac Margarita, please, and thank you, too.

4) What was the last book you read?
I just finished,  Sully: My Search for What Really Matters.

5) Worst Habit?
Sloth, of late...

6) If you saw me walking down the street would you offer me a ride?
You, Bud? Maybe not. 😉 *kidding*
But, this is Chicago, so are you visiting Gal? Absolutely.

7) What is your favorite sport?
Even though I can no longer do it, I'd have to say it's swimming. Now it's power napping.

8) What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator with me?
We'd talk, if you wanted to, about books and Saturday Nine.
Gal I got my hands on the Tome by Bugliosi.  Mr. Z. ran out and borrowed it for me.  I'm interested in what the cowboy has to say about the death of John F. Kennedy.  I also want to know about the out outrageously stupid  shooting that killed his brother, Bobby.

9) Worst thing to ever happen to you?
Losing our daughter to a preventable disease because the ACA came too late for her.  Curse you, Republican "leaders".  I spit on you.

10) Tell me one weird fact about you.
Like, "I see dead people"?  That sort of weird? I get hunches, but everyone does, right?

11) What if I showed up at your house unexpectedly?
Oh Lordy, Gal, I would love that!  Hopefully someone (see above)would warn me. Then I'd have time to chase all the dust Rhinos out the back door!

12) If you could change one thing about how you look, what would it be?
I'd be a lot thinner.  I'd be 25 pounds thinner. That's what I'm aiming for as a year goal.

13) Would you be my crime partner or my conscience?
That all depends on what are you planning?

14) Ever been arrested?
No. Happily and I've not even been asked to come into the station for questioning.  Charmed Life? ;-)

15) If you won $10,000 today, what would you do with it?
I'm afraid I'd be selfish and get the house painted inside and out.

16) Favorite thing to do in your spare time?
Knit, though you'd never know it lately, but also, to read.

17) Biggest pet peeve?
Wellll,  I rally don't like it when Wolfie jumps on my sore legs. 'Down Boy!"

18) In one word, how would you describe yourself?
Skatty

19) Do you believe in/appreciate romance?
Yes, especially like it applies to the movie, "Romancing the Stone"

It would be fun.

  1. "Dust rhinos.." Ha! Love that. With a dog that sheds I've move a few pieces of furniture and found those. Definitely weren't cute little bunnies!
I love Romancing the Stone. It was such a fun movie.

    1. I lifted that saying in what seems like an eon ago, from a Stitcher's Guilder. It's very effective!
Romancing the Stone is something I'm going to watch again soon. Need to "keep the side up" so to speak. 🙃

    After reading your answer to #9, you must really be having a difficult time today. {{ hugs }}

    1. (((Hugs back))) Bev. You're right. Some stormy seas... and thank you for those hugs.
Yes, and I feel that The Grand Old Party has given us one loser after another- excepting Ford who was thoroughly decent, since Ike.
They've ruined our country in ways we can't yet see.

  3. I spit on the GOP as well. We shall have a big spit party. I am now trying crochet. I find I like that a bit better than knitting. But we will see. These womanly arts have eluded me a long time.

  4. Thank you for joining the spit in... ;o)
Your knitting looked really good to me when you tried it. So, I'll encourage you in trying it again.
And, since your Grandmother was an excellent crocheter, it's in your DNA...
Just try to be patient with yourself. And, bigger hooks and yarn help in the process of learning crochet. I'd try an E or an F with cotton, or wool sport or 4ply worsted yarn. Then go up or down from there after you've made a few little practice mats or what ever. The tiny hooks and threads are pretty difficult to handle until the hook movements are automatic to you. Dish cloths are always welcome around the house. Most of all, keep learning, and best wishes for learning your needle arts!
