Sunday Stealing Questions

Anyone wishing to see the other Offerings from the thieves go HERE

Sorry about the simplicity but I'm using a lap top.

Thank you Bev, for doing this sweet meme every Sunday for us.

1.Which is more romantic: an expensive, glittering bouquet OR flowers that were hand picked as they grew beside the parkway?  Actually, this is very Jane Austin, so, we don't have roadways filled with flowers anymore; also, pesticides to kill weeds sort of ruined that parkway picking.
Picking flowers from fields can get you a fine, either from local wildflowers protectors, or buckshot in the backside from land owners.
So, to save trouble it's just good commonsense to buy them.  That way your recipient  can be sure they are neither protected, poisoned nor poached.

2.Do you know yourself well enough to understand why you feel the way you do?
Yes, I do.

3.Which do you do more often: let movies, songs and books put your feelings into words for you or put your feelings into words by yourself?  I'm quite good at expressing my feelings.  I'm also very good at inscrutability.

4.Do you believe celebrities when they are endorsing a product? No.

5.What kind of movies do you wish were made more often? Comedies

6.Does fashion matter to you? I'm supremely unfashionable.

7.Should politicians be held to the same legal standards as everyone else? Yes.

8. If you became president, whom would you invite to sing at your inauguration? K.D. Lang

9. Do you try to write/say what you are feeling in a true and simple way? Yes, but I actually know how to do "Arch" very well, and am not afraid to use it.

10.What is your worst daily habit?  I'm very good at putting off until tomorrow what I can do today.  I like to think I've raised it to an art form.

11.If you had your choice which one TV show would you have canceled? NA.  Don't watch it.

12.Do you like the taste of sweet or salt? I like both but salt wins out most times.

13.Are you very precise about what words you use to describe your feelings and thoughts?

 I am seriously articulate.

14.What do you feel the most guilty about? Not having good mothering skills when I needed them the most.

15.Do you meditate? Yes.  and i do it Constantly.  It's called walking mediation, and it works.  I'll never go back to the way I was.

  1. More comedies would be nice, especially if they were witty rather than the type that seems as if a teenage boy thought it up. Procrastination and salty snacks...that's me, too!

    1. Yes, we need more of those sorts of comedies like we need another hole in our heads. I like madcap things though, like Sam Neil’s one about the “Wilder People”. Hope you are enjoying the quieter days of winter.

  2. When it comes to fashion, I need to be comfortable. I have never heard of walking meditation. Good that it works for you.

    1. I’m with you. Fashion becomes less important the more a person is out of the public eye. Good! 😊
Walking meditation is a practice of living in the moment. Mindfulness, in other words. It’s very helpful in times of turmoil and trouble. Sleep works too! 🤣

    1. Thank you kindly, Miss CountryDew. I imagine if you have any flowers in your fields, it could be annoying.
City or county, flower thieves have struck. One of my neighbors had a whole bush of her beautiful, red roses pilfered one dark night. Gad!

  4. I do not see many comedies. You are right, there do need to be more. Loved your answers! Have a nice day!

    1. Thank you Lori. And yes, we really do need more comedies. I’m hoping for some very snarky ones to come out about American politics. 👍🏻🤩🤣

  5. More comedies without a laugh track, which is very annoying!

    Not sure what "arch" means.

    1. It’s what some call haughtiness. I went to school with some very upper crust snobs, who taught me the art. I just tease with it.

  6. I'm really mindful about meditating, too.

    1. Hello Miss Kwizgiver, ❤️ That’s so lovely... after awhile your mind just drops into a quiet place and sets your feet on the path to inner peace. Happy knitting 🧶 it’s sort of a meditation. (Not The Norwegian fisherman sweaters though.) 😸

  7. Hi, Bev.. comedies, and Yes! More with NO laugh track!
Arch meaning: Oxford Dictionary: ...[usually before noun] (often disapproving) seeming amused because you know more about a situation than other people... an arch tone of voice as in, “He tapped the side of his nose in an uncharacteristically arch gesture.”

  8. “Unfashionable”. Love it! I go for clean and comfortable, unless it’s a function of some sort, my dressy is preppy. Lol!
    I enjoyed your answers.

    1. Clean and comfortable is best, with big fuzzy slippers; but yes, weddings and funerals ( and maybe meeting clients) calls for more formal wear. 👍🏻😊

  9. Ah - yes - I like a good comedy film too.

I guess I meditate a bit when walking - I drift away into a world of my own.

    :o)

    1. It does wonders to help a mind maintain sanity when the world starts devolving around one, and when there’s not a lot a single, in my case, old lady can do about it. Drop out and turn inward. 🙏🏼😌

  10. Here in Virginia, the highway department plants wildflower patches along the interstates. It would not be safe to pick them though!

I am into comfort, not fashion.

    1. Hi Linda, nice to see you. Hope you’ve been well. ❤️
We have little flowers everyone calls “the freeway daisies” along our interstates. I actually love them as long as they aren’t poisoned because they are bee and skipper friendly. And little blues like them too.

I’m going through some stuff but I will peek in now and then and will be back when it’s over..
