Oh What a tangled web we weave....

 To paraphrase Mexico's long ago president, Benito Juarez: "Poor little Venezuela, so far from God and so near to the United States." 

Trump was unflinching in his confidence that the bad actors of the old government will be pushed aside as he helps make Venezuela “great again.” He also sought to reassure American taxpayers that they won’t be on the hook for his plan to help out Caracas.  

Why should we pay?  We didn't do this thing.  He'll be lining the pockets of God knows whom, but we all know it won't be the ones who will ultimately have payback (as well as reimbursement) added to their little tax burdens.  Yes, you are looking at a lot of shenanigans with money moving, sometimes bordering on fraud.  Lord above, this makes me so sad......

But then that's the play book for all these things.  These Nation Building Expeditions of  maniacal U.S. Presidents- yes this has happened before - who seek to deflect the news crews off of their shady doings behind closed doors with ....... insert preferred pronoun.

“The money coming out of the ground is very substantial,” Trump said. “We’re going to get reimbursed for everything that we spend.”  Don't forget, this is a Grifter extraordinaire we are listening to.  Where will the workers come from?  And all this is paid with Venezuela's Oil revenues?  Halliburton?   How special. 

What about the approximately 20 billion dollars that  trump glad-handed to Argentina's President a while back, before the invasion of it's neighbor?  What exactly was that for?? And.... more to the point, will that come out of the American Taxpayers Piggie Bank, too?  OInk Oink!
