A lot of angst and excitement about the last back up too, as one disc didn't have a thing on it. That should never have happened, so we've canned that software. I will do my back-ups from now on in a different way. We know why it crashed, too, and MicroSoft claims another victim.
So, I did knit a lot on the trekkerXXL socks. They have to be fairly tall, boot socks you know, so that's why they aren't all the way to the heel flap. Sorry no piccies til I see if the camera software is intact. It's something we've not tested yet. The other WIP is almost out to the 200 stitches. The bag is starting to take form. Following advice from Rissa, I will make it larger because I want a pretty big bag out of this felting project and have lots of that burgandy yarn, a super abundance of it. =0)
Val has sent me a booklet of Rowan patterns, One of the patterns in it is ... drrrummmm roll... Birch! I'm still pinching myself over this, Val, and thank you so much! The darling lambs note you sent with it is going to be french line matted and framed. It is so sweet!
Esperanto is coming along slowly. It's very hard to not know enough about how it sounds. I feel like one of the Englishwomen in my favorite movie, "Enchanted April", when she said she was going to use her "little dictionary" to communicate with the cook/housekeeper in Italian.
Dragged out the handwork quilt, as three of my DDs have now started hand piecing. I can't wait to be able to sit companionable with them and hand sew on a late summer afternnoon, and share a pot of tea and homebaked cookies!
Sorry to hear you've been having computer trouble - that is always aggravating.
ReplyDeleteWhen you and the DDs are sitting around quilting, we expect pictures :-))
Thanks Karen. I know that you've worked in the field for sometime and have had to slog through things like this for your customers. I thought about you a lot as DH worked is way through the barbed wire entaglement, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteI will be sure to take more pictures of my camera shy DD's as we have our sewing circle. There's just a little bit of a sock one, when DD4 finished her very first sock. It's here:

I wonder if that will work at all.
