Since Lamps are the most fascinating of all home decor, to me, I just had to show you these beautiful designs. Lamps are something I would spend the most money on in any redecorating scheme. To me, they also represent the spiritual.
I'm working bit by bit on some challenging postcards which are already late. They are technically challenging but not very spectacular. They are also labor intensive because I'm trying to save fabric. This will be the last round for me til after Christmas because I'm really tired and need a spritual retreat to re coop. I'm going to follow the Taoist Masters into mental retreat. I'm taking my knitting with me, me little dog, DH, and a three month's supply of chocolate malt balls from Henry's.
Contrasts:
A few days ago, at the Farmer's Market, I met a nice woman at the flower seller. She saw Jazz in my arms, and she was prompted to tell me about her little Yorkie. Now there are few things cuter than a Yorkie, so we talked quite a bit, traded a few tidbits of behaviors, etc. We agreed that the little dogs were the best company, and then she smiled and said, "Maybe that's why we treat them like family members." I said," That's right, and this one is my Son!" and we both laughed and went our way. Isn't it great to get out and meet your people? There were NO freaky, lying politicians telling their own version of truth and shouting from a stump nearby, no sick bogus war flying overhead dropping bombs. These were just a few shared feelings about little dogs, and the telling of how sweet it is to live a gentler life and buying flowers from a grower. This is something that I wish all the families of the world could be out pursuing in their days. We need our gentle harmonious world and they, the willing participants in wars and warmongering, can have one somewhere else. Let them all be sent there. May it be so. No hard feelings but everyone can then have things just the way they want it to be.
thanks for the link...and for dropping by my blog. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Now I have a mad desire to go snorkling and redecorate the house..
ReplyDeleteMay I suggest that the place we send (give, confine) them would be the White Sands Proving Grounds. I am sure the radiation, distruction and sand melted into glass will give them ponder. After they put their clubs down for a while. While the rest of us learn about eachother, buy/give flowers and share humanity.
You're welcome, simplyolive. Your blog is a joy and a real source of inspiration to me. Thanks for blogging all that you do, as well as the edgy, fabulous fashions that you do. :)
ReplyDeleteMeribeth Hi hi :) Snorkling is a wonderful thing to do, and not as expensive as redecorating. heehee...
Ah, your idea is tempting, but no, I still feel they should have a separate planet because of the fact that no other sentient being should have to suffer more aggro than they do already in their tiny (or large)lives.
My vote is on having another planet. All the animals, flowering and fruiting plants, water- fresh and salt, and Peacemakers and the Meek can have this one. Then the Wargames experts can have another one, all concrete and steel comprised of materials for making big bombs to blow it all up, and this would be a planet that is too far away from ours for easy back tracking. Make it so, Mrs. Solo?
