I'm working on this and I could be gone awhile..

I will be gone unless an eye should fall upon some Accidental Art somewhere. Eww, that sounds painful. This is what I'm working on. You've seen it before but now it will become a reality. The block of time is allotted.

And Lucy Lockethas promised me some pictures of spiders on her blog. In general, I love spiders except for the deadly ones.

Speaking of deadly, The book, *See No Evil*, by Robert Baer will keep you on the edge of your seat. Don't forget to look for hidden clues. I will say this about it. It gives you to understand that if politicians were all Tractors, 90% of them would run on Crude Oil.

Tata! Have fun and I will be reading lots of blogs if I can, and showing some progress on the WIPs and, of course, progress on the quilt.

  1. Thanks, I loved knitting those Monkey socks. Are you on Ravlery? I have not really invited anyone to be my friend 'cause I am a little shy like that. :)

  2. Hi Zippiknits! Thanks for the book recomendation. I'm always looking for a good book. Unfortunately, my library is growing much faster than my ability to keep up with it now that I knit!

I just wanted to stop by and tell you how much I enjoy your blog. I am always scanning for blogs created by people who are interesting and who share more in common with me than just knitting. You and I have the same outlook about our planet and those who dwell here. I wish there were more of us...

Now I must be off to upholster my couch...

    Peace!

  3. Hi Knothead. Thanks for looking in. :o) Monkey is my very next sock pattern to knit so I loved seeing yours. To answer your question about Ravelry, I'm not in it. I knit slowly and am not that much of a spinner or weaver yet, though I will eventually be. I couldn't see myself fitting into their model at this time. Also, the wait is very long to be accepted, I'm told. I'll keep an eye on it though for the future.

Laurie, Hi there! I'm glad you enjoy the blog, my ramblings, and thanks for posting a comment. I, too, wish there were more people, especially with some polical clout, who were in camp with those who care about the earth and the fellow creatures. I know I would feel very isolated if I didn't blog or read other ones, environmental and otherwise.

About the book, it's non fiction, at least in the author's mind. ;o) It's the first of the CIA Whistleblower books I've read. Somehow it still comes off as a thriller. I suppose because he was a field agent and is darn smart, too.

Did you get that couch of yours upholstered? DH and I took classes at the ROP center when they were still offered. I will still do smaller projects but not the biggies anymore. It was fun to do our platform rockers and we might do the lazy boys someday but not a couch yet. They seem tricky.
