The knitting had two false starts yesterday, one of which involved frogging back to a point that I'd rather not discuss. This came about because a smallish dog decided he needed to be in my lap and right away, and he accomplished this by taking a flying leap off the chair next to mine and into my lap. He's way too old to be doing this, and of course I didn't yell at him mid leap for fear he would fall and break something. That would mean that he just couldn't live, most likely. One of our nightmares is that J will fall and break a bone, not fatally, but ultimately fatal.
Tonight, when everyone is safely tucked up, I'll go at it hammer and tongs, getting the stitch markers in place and hopefully working all the yarn off of Rabbit's body; Rabbit, who has been suffering patiently through the winding and unwinding going on under his floppy,longish ears.
