Today was order the new eyeglasses day. I dootifully went off to Costco and got the new specs started down the pipeline with a great outlay of cash ( actually I just slapped down their favorite plastic). I will now be a Sophia Loren look alike if ever you stumble across me while dumpster diving or that other favorite sport, fishing through the bargain bins at the various LYS. At least I will now be able to see what I'm after.
La Gretchen has two more little rows finished and only two little stitch adjustments had to be made. I've had that row out so many times it's not going to happen again. When I block this Babe, there will be even more surprises I'm sure. I'll see if it can be raveled out to look like a YO or two in that row -IF I have the energy tomorrow to do that. Tired eyes to not focus properly after a few hours of knitting in semi darkness of the family hovel.
The new stove comes on Tuesday. To celebrate I will throw a lot of green backs at the store manager so that he will be pleased to take away the old stove to re-cycle heaven- probably Tijuana. It will depart our house without the burner covers. They are going to be re-cycled, in the Garden, by Moi! They also make spiffioso crystalline light holder uppers if they are fancy enough to look like Modern Art.
Knitting pictures you can't have but I can show you this...

OOOPS they are upside down. I cannot claim to have taken that picture, but it's from an old calendar, god help me if the photographer who has NO copyright anywhere extant on the thing finds out about this. I just wanted to spread the Love...
Also, Rissa had this sweet button up at her blog, and I think it's definitely something I want to participate in from now on, and share with all of you. Comfort Dolls Page
That's about all there is, except tomorrow there will be a picture of sore fingers holding up a pathetic excuse for Pi making.
Hi ZippiKnits,
ReplyDeleteI go to Costco too for eyeglasses and acuvue contact lenses. Reminds me, I need new contacts before I spend all my money on thanksgiving-yarn-holiday things. I look forward to see what yarn you buy next time you 'fish' through a bargain bin at a LYS.
Hi Monica silva, thanks for stopping by and commenting. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, get those specs! You must be able to see to buy the right yarny stuff - lot numbers, etc.
Isn't Costco great? You can get a cake big enough to feed the whole soccer team, or a bag of chips that would do the same, or even eyeglasses/contacts.
Also, I am shameless about posting my yarn binges so it won't be long before there will be another LYS bin fishing expedition to brag about, especially since the weather cooled down.
