This slider was ten feet across, massive and heavy to move open. Now it's a center opening. The whole room has the feel of a garden room. We just have to improve the views, which we are always happy to do. Lots of buddleya is going in, at the top of the hill, for the butterflies.
Joie and DDs, I hope you've liked the pictures. The windows are already keeping the ancient furnace from struggling, though the nights have been getting down into the 30s here. These will also be so easy to clean!

Hi, Pina. :o) I'm glad you enjoyed seeing them. We are so pleased but we are pretty tired, too. Now it's all done except for painting SOME walls before moving anything back under the windows. I'm glad the long days of summer are coming up.

Jessie, thanks it does seem like a tropical hotel room, really. DH laughed and said to tell you "Yes, it does come with room service", when I told him about your comment this afternoon. I really get a shock when I walk into that room now. It's so different. Exotic even.

And I will send you an email, and thanks for thinking about that book. I'm still going to read it. We couldn't even find it in the library here. I've given up on most politics but not on economics. There is much to think about when it comes to money and who is trying to get their hands on it ALL! lol.
