I heard about this documentary today on the Ed Shultz show (if you don't listen I highly recommend). He had Phil on and was interviewing him about the process that he went through over the three years that it took him to make this film. I don't know if it's out yet but I fee it's going to be really important to not only progressives but to the public at large.
ReplyDeleteSeeing that Bill Moyers is sort of a born again ex government officio turned reformer from the early days in Johnson's WH, Phil D. is going to get a lot of exposure from that show alone.
ReplyDeleteThis video took two days to pop up on my blog. It was supposed to be posted the night it was re-broadcast, or whatever that was that PBS did. Anyway, a big delay so it makes me wonder about things. Google needs a brush up on some tech stuff methinks.
Thanks very much for the tip on the Ed Shultz's show. I don't listen much, usually just read things. I'll probably Google it for times. Oh boy, that Google! lol
I have to had it to both of those gentlemen. They have always spoken out, but they do it fairly. I will watch his show on the PBS site...great that you can get it there.
ReplyDeleteHBO has done somethings dealing with the men and women coming back shattered. Gandolfino did one that very nicely avoided politics...but it did demonstrate the horror of it all.
