Saturday Sky, June 14th
We actually had some clouds! That's unusual for June, usually it's just a deep marine layer that burns off mid-day and is called, locally, June Gloom. I like it a lot because it keeps things cooler. Alas, we are getting tropical weather for longer periods each year. Sallyjo, I should go back and read Edgar again too. Maybe there are other clues about why this, and why now... The Political sorts of things... you know?

Something's up, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit to starting to feel optimistic. I don't know why.
I've never had any close exposure to hickory, maybe 'cause I'm such a northern girl. The cabinets look wonderful. I'm looking forward to seeing the teapots!
Something's in the air... hehe.. a song from "The Birdcage".
ReplyDeleteI'm getting more optimistic that crime is not going to pay. That sort of optimism? Also, if the climate change could be predicted so accurately so long ago and by such a gentle and unassuming prophet, well, maybe it means that this whole nightmare has not gone unseen, either.
Hickory, it's a tough tree and a tough nut. The little tiny knots in the wood are charming, too. Ah, tea pots. Some nice and a lot of brown Betty ones, too. A couple from my mom as well. Some of them I've made, half finished-no decoration because I was undecided. That's me! I hope to burn something into them someday.
