Oh yes, I'm knitting, some sort of safety net for the lower classes seems appropriate, doncha think? Can we make one big enough if we all work on it. We should make the investment bankers and high flyers pitch in some of their billions for time and materials, so much of a percentage per SNOUT over the next 50 years.

Aren't we just delighted that they let us take our Social Security money and invest it? Oh...wait... wiser heads prevailed, and we missed out on this opportunity to throw our life savings down the toilet!
ReplyDeleteThe free-market economy and de-regulation are such wonderful things. I know, because John McCain and the other Republicans told me so. They're really entertaining to watch in action. Until they fail, and fall back on us expecting a bailout. But still no regulation, of course.

Free markets work nicely but not on a global scale, because there's all that nasty national protectionism, you know. All those strictures against Corporations, starting with the East India Trading Company, etc.
Now they've been given rights, under US law, as if they were individuals. Great thinking, that one! That frees up a lot of room to move for multi national corporations. Capital now, too, can flow so freely over borders that the maffiosi are probably celebrating that one!
All the elite economic thinkers then had to do was aid the Greedy Predatory Corps to stop smaller countries who were trying to protect their domestic markets from Global Wolves.
Wow! Are we lucky or what, because now nothing can be stopped and everyone can freely dress in Cheep, in some cases, Chinese knock offs!
What a clever bunch. Let THEM eat the cake...maybe someone has the Balls (maybe our Congress?) to make them do eat it?
