Look what I found...

We are moving Furniture, breaking up patterns of life that are painful to remember, and so anyway look what I found in corner of the sewing room.

It's a knitting stand but the stuff in it is for quilting, cross stitch and just about everything else. Odd how things, when life gets really full, get put away and forgotten about isn't it? And that brown boot like sole is what you think it is. It's one of those kits for a pair of knitted mukluks. Fancy that...

  1. Part of mourning is change.

the lose of a loved one, imposes so much change, that we often deal with it by making changes, (changes we can control, and changes that allow us to feel in control again)

And if we are lucky, the changes bring us small joys. a respite from the pain.

I hope there are many small joys it the knitting basket-none will end your sorrow.. but something to ease it for a moment.

  2. You are a very sweet and wise woman, Helen, a treasure to cherish and to know. Thank you for your good hopes and joys for my mind.

My daughter wants me to start spinning again, so that we can sit and treadle together soon. I've set up somewhere to practice that again.

Life goes on, and loving and giving one's ALL to a being, little or big, outweighs the pain of loss, eventually. And, in truth, a life is a life, no matter how short.
