SoctoberFest Sock Progress Knitting Content, yay!

The picture of progress as of this morning

This is a KAL in Ravelry, and it's coming out a little big. I'm too tired to care. If they slouch, they slouch. I've made this sock pattern before and it was fine so I'm not too worried at this point. This yarn is a little heavier than the MBC that I made them in before.   It is a beautiful pattern and a beautiful yarn.

We've been having the most interesting Fall days, full of clouds and gorgeous sunsets. It's so good not to have the 100°F weather that withers up the garden in days. We are on water restrictions til who knows when but it really should end sometime this month.

The shade patio is shaping up. I got out most of the dead or excess plants - I have a lot of ferns and bromeliads from splits over the years, and a lot of epiphyllum. There will have to be choices made in what to keep of them. Happily, the white night blooming giant bloomed the other night so it's going to be fine, and I can cozy some of the smaller ones up in bigger pots, all of Padre (a pink) can go into one pot. It will give me a chance to buy a whole new group of Zygocactus, and some of the Easter cactus' that bloom in Spring, as most of my mother's original plants have survived in bits and pieces. It's been fun to think that the patio will be in shape to actually sit in while I knit on warm days. It's time to regain my Hoya, which has been reduced to a small pot of next to nothing. Hoya are wax flowers, a very beautiful plant, and the scent is very lovely when they bloom.

Well, that's the Drought Garden report, the other plants are struggling along, except the cactus are really the happiest of all, of course!
