Wolfie's Little Manly Coat.
One thing my camera doesn't do is to produce very good pictures of acrylic yarn, well to be honest, any red yarn at all. And WoolEze is mostly acrylic. This is the top of the coat up to the first buttonhole.
I hope to get this little thing on him PDQ, and the good news is that it actually fits comfortably over his head. He's still a small dog, not even as big as a cocker spaniel - even though he seems like a little elephant jumping into my lap after all those years with tiny Jazzie.
The needles are DPS's that worked out well, with a green tip on one end and the business end free. I did some modification to the pattern because I really couldn't figure out how in the heck to do that garter stitch on two stitches thing. That's the beauty of being able to change things in patterns to suit oneself.

Hi how are you?
ReplyDeleteI was looking through your blog, and I found it interesting, so I thought why not leave you a comment. I have a blog that I use out of Southern California here in San Diego.
Mostly, just a collection of artistic expression, and I have many friends with the same interests, maybe you can become my friend, and follow, and I can also follow you, if that is okay.
Well I hope to hear from you soon, and or read about you….LOL
Thank you,
Jesse
oh that is too cute I love the manly sparkles in it :D
ReplyDeleteTo Jesse: Lovely! A kindred spirit in the region! The Moonchild series of photos and the poem there is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I like your art blog, and will be glad to follow it. Your art work is quite impressive, and I like it. Thanks for the note to let me know you were in the Blogiverse! I'm not much of a practicing artist, more of a craft person, but do love seeing other people's art. My daughter is a graphic artist for a company in the bay area. Some of your work reminds me of hers. Thanks again for commenting so I can follow you. :o)
Rho, it's very manly little muscle sort of sweater, isn't it? I think that DH is happy about it. I am just happy it's done, and that the mellow little dog will wear it. heehee. I feel very bad about sending Wolfie out in the 30 degree night weather with his too short coat. Now he can be embarrassed around the other dogs, but warm, too!
