For all the nobs out there who quash small blogs like mine when I post about healthcare....

put with this:

.....just makes no sense whatsoever.

The "industry" is already delivering rock bottom care and charging "an arm and a leg" for it. Do you all think we are stupid?

Obama is right and I hope he really hammers home the reforms. "Health" insurance as an "Industry", is a business purely and simply in place to suck at least 23% of the insurance premiums we pay into shareholders pockets.

And no, I won't shut up. I have big and personal reasons for not doing so.

  1. Apparently they do think we are stupid - and they are right. I point out study after study and people still tell me with a straight face that we have "the best health care system in the world" and they don't want socialized medicine (from people who have Medicare, no less). I can't make any sense of it, but I hear it all the time regardless of evidence.

  2. Ellen, it's either an "I've got mine" mindset working, or they have fallen for all the lies and damn lies promulgated by the million dollar ad campaigns of Big Pharma and Health Insurance companies.

Those same companies have had, after all, several decades of "selling" us on health care for profit, started by Kaiser, with Nixon "bandwaggoning" the thing, and who began promoting such a "good for business" idea as limiting care.
