And now for the Knitters among you....The Beautiful Afghan

PJ, here it is. The pattern for the Beautiful Afghan. I almost, after watching the whole first series of "Hoarders" on Netflix, threw out an entire folder of miscellaneous sssstuff last night. Mon Dieu! Now I know why some people hate to part with a single thing! I gasp with horror at what could have been lost forever when that pattern literally fell into my hands from the folder!

The afghan that I am mending was made from this pattern. The pattern was created by a co-worker, and came from a knit shop that I used to work at.

Edited to add: Be sure to establish a uniform gauge for size 10 and worsted weight. Otherwise you will have a royal mess on your hand, like I did at first. heehee

The Manly/Beastly Aran sweater is on the way to the split for the front and back. Just about five more inches of pattern knitting before the split. I work on it each day that the cool weather is here. The pattern has become easy to read but because of my hand and eyes, I only do about three rounds a day, less than an inch worth, by what the Hay. Slow progress is better than no progress at all. When I reach the split, I'll bore you all with a piccie.

Upon looking at the two chullo hats and the pattern for them, I decided that one hyperpattern at a time was enough. Soooooo...

I decided to start another pair of socks just for the mind numbing wonderfulness of knitting something that doesn't take so much brain straining, brow knitting consternation. All three of my remaining marbles have a hulluva time trying to make it through all the straw just to make contact with one another.

It's cool here, and rainy. We had more rain. What a blessing it is. The little plants and the big and biggish trees are celebrating, as are the human gardeners. Of course the outside venues are not too happy but we need this rain.
