"Everyone can master a Grief but he who has it”
William Shakespeare
Greed is an incredibly contagious disease 🦠 And, it’s a shame when anyone catches it.

My Gorton's fisherman....

It's raining, a lot! In his teens (actually until he was 20) DH was a fisherman, just like his daddy before him. He can still light a match in a Gale force wind!

The water was getting high, and almost up to the sill of the slider, in the back patio, so DH went out to do something about it.

It took over an hour to clear the two runoffs streams that run down the sides of the house, and his shoulders were steaming when I looked out and told him he looked just like a fisherman. He smiled so I snapped his picture.

On the knitting front, everything is at a critical place, the sock is at the toe, the scarf is at the short rows and the Aran sweater for my fisherman is at the bottom of that complicated set of twisted cables. Therefore, I am reading the next book of the Peabody mysteries. This condition is called Knitting Avoidance.

I'm not baking. There's a reason for this but I'll bake when the DDs get here. The kitchen is in turmoil, and I haven't got my baking mojo. So, I read on about the dry, baked lands of Egypt which share a lot of characteristics, weather-wise, with SoCal - not right now, but usually. Write on Elizabeth Peters! I've almost caught up with you!
