I participated in this last year after being sent a "head's up" from a dear friend who was also participating.
The title to this post is the hot link to IBOL web page where it explains everything and how to do this.
This is a charity for the Iraqi families in Northern Iraq, created to supply them with materials to be able to make clothing for themselves and their families. What IBOL does is make it possible to send boxes of a certain size, through the USPS to an APO address in New York, for the APO rate. The boxes are then sent through the APO system to their destination.
The boxes are filled with sewing supplies, fabric, pins, needles, other sewing notions, whatever would go into making a garment, or perhaps a quilt, or quilted garment.
This really feels good for the heart. I'm cross posting this to ZI ZIPPI BLOG ROLL, where my long blog list is. Look for the link, there, under "Things to Do For Others"
