Many of these posts will be sweetness and light, which at some point could get repetitious: This one is more serious. My adopted home town, Santa Cruz, just got bitten really hard and I'm feeling PDS or PDM, or both, at this time.
So, here goes my post topic: "Thankful Thursday"
I am never going to be anything but thankful for police officers, firefighters, and social workers. Never. I think they should be paid LOTS more for putting their lives on the line, and, on the part of social workers, for giving so much to the cause of social justice and child welfare to name a few of their duties.
I'm truly thankful for sailors, soldiers and our air force personnel. But, I don't extend my gratitude to the Pentagon brass and the political jerks who have put them in harm's way for money or anything other than defending REAL threats. Those guys are, in a word, worthless pieces of Patak or outright cowards. But, that's just me.
And now for something completely different:
Weather Report: A beautiful, warm 79° F day. Slight breeze from the West.
The Garden Report:
I leave you with some Peace and Love, in the form of Spring flowers from a Kalanchoe daigremontiana, aka "Mother of Thousands", or "Maternity Plant". This plant is absolutely fascinating to me. I got a couple of tiny plants from the ground around one in Spanish Village at Balboa Park, and now, many years later, she is still giving joy and happiness in this garden and in my DD's garden.
I thought I'd blown away my whole blog by a stupid thing I clicked on called Dynamic views. It's not how I wanted my blog to look so after a real knock down drag out fight, I've put myself in a much better mood, so it shows in the header and background, I'm sure! DH helped me to get everything right, my Knight in Shining Armor, resident software and hardware computer tech, and the love of my life has saved my sanity yet again!

I've had a few friends get sidelined by that "Dynamics views" thing! Glad you got it fixed. And I'm so excited for my earrings. They'll be here just in time for my birthday!!
ReplyDeleteWell, then, Happy Birthday, to you! Sweet Serendipity!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, the dread Dynamic views. You have to trick The Google into giving you back your blog! grrr. Always save the source code before attempting anything dynamic. Such Drama! hehehehe
