It's getting over 83 degrees in the house. Since I can't retreat to the depths of a nice cool 60 degrees of a cave or tunnel, I'm beginning to hate the computer and any other heat producing creation of man.
If we had AC like most people in Southern Cal, it would be different. Running around in wet clothes helps a little bit but not that much. If this heat actually affected the computers, we'd have AC. I know this.
This was Carlsbad beach, last week. We've lost the clouds and gained about 20 degrees in heat.

Oh, how i wish it was 83° in the house (apartment) it never went below 85° (in the past 24 hours)--and there are 3 more days of the heat wave to come.
ReplyDeleteThankfully, I spend a few hours a day neck deep in cold water (the local swimming pool) and take cold showers when at home.
Oh Helen! Three more days! Can you stay any longer in that pool? My local pool, at least the one that I have permission to use, in indoors and they keep it at 82°! Why? My positronic brain goes haywire at that temp. Stupid!
DeleteI am filling up the tub and plan to hop in and out of it until the outside air cools off enough at night for the whole house fan to suck in new air. My sister's house has air conditioning so yesterday we had a comfortable afternoon. DH is a desert rat type. Loves the heat.
