Thankful Thursday:
Today I am thankful that the thumb, the one that hurt enough last night to keep me up until half past two, is finally responding to it's cortisone shot from yesterday. It's sister thumb, on the right hand, celebrated with immediate relief, and thank you Great Spirit! The tendonitis I'll have to get over by being "more reasonable" at the gym.
The problems are different in each hand. My hand doctor/surgeon is very good at his specialty, and he's the one who did the wrist surgery which has never been trouble. So, I'm happy about having such good doctors and healthcare and wish that EVERY human had this blessing!
The next test, after this typing and mousing test, is the knitting. I'm waiting a few days for that, and am currently writing with my right hand, which needs the practice. Almost all lefties can write with both hands so it's not really a talent anyone can be proud of unless, and until, it comes in "handy". It's really, reaaaally handy now. I knit right handed which helps, too! I can hardly wait! Jane's Hedgerows, here I come!
Since, in real life, I love to be positive rather than negative, this August I'm joining this Challenge:

Today I am happy, not just for healing but for lots of reasons. I'm especially happy that the weather is remarkably cool. I'm going to check the water temps of the oceans. Something has to be going on out there.
Please do forgive all these close together I's. (-@^@-) I'm just so darn HAPPY!!!

" 'The Challenge is really very simple: 'Each day in August you are to post about something that makes *you* happy. Pretty simple. And, it doesn't even have to be every day if you don't want it to be. It's a great way to remind ourselves that there are positive things going on in our lives, our communities, and the world.' "The Gal Herself, on her blog One Gal's Musings has put up the August Happiness Challenge, which she does every year for like ages. I'm joining in because, if this "thumbs fix" works, I'll be able to knit again Yippie! I found the new challenge on Kwizgiver's Blog, "What if this is as good as it gets" , where I snag a lot of good stuff - including books to read. Check it out!

Oh, I love your happiness icon! I'll look forward to seeing him throughout the month. And good news about the cortisone!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ma'am! I still have to behave but it's LOTs better now. Thank you for your comment about the little knitter. I don't remember where that tiny guy came from. And, thank you for doing your amazing blog! It's tremendously inspirational.
