Sunday Stealing: Year End Hodge Podge...

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. You may have heard the expression, “honor among thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from, if possible. We also provide a link to the victim's questions in our "Previous Victims" widget. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from recently asked questions from a previously post. Cheers to all of us thieves!

(Want to play along with the Thieves?  Go HERE.)

People are still busy so this is a short one, stolen from Joyce of "From This Side of the Pond."

1. Where have you found unexpected magic or delight this holiday season?
I met little Rosie!  She's a 5 pound Terrier/chi mix, and just as cute as a bug. I met her first at Thanksgiving and then again at Christmas Eve.  What a jolly doggie!

2. What's your favorite type of holiday gathering? Will you/have you gathered in your favorite way this month?
Family and Friends getting together, and yes, we did that this year with Mr. Z. family.
I will always want to spend the Holidays with my girls, but it seldom happens.
Life is a Beach....or not.

3. Time has named 'The Silence Breakers' (women who came forward with stories of harassment)  'person of the year' for 2017. Would you agree? If not, who do you think deserves the title?
The women who have come forward deserve to be collectively mentioned because they are the ones who suffered so long in silence, and some were victims of the most odious person to sit his Butt in the oval office.  Ladies, we can NEVER go back.  This is not an option.  Over half the people in the world are women, and they and their children suffer horrors that no man would have put up with!

4. How did you spend your time this year? Are you happy about that? Elaborate
I spent this year clearing out some passé possessions.  I also spent time in trying to keep my feet underneath me.  I spent it in survival mode, every day, and just breathed in and out.  So far, so good, and I am content with that.
I spent a lot of time listening to the weather report and CalFire site.  California was afflicted with some terrible and destructive fires.  So, I reckon that I'm about as happy as anyone is likely to be considering the issues that I'm struggling with.

Love this card someone sent me.

5. Bid farewell to 2017 in ten words or less.
Goodbye and good riddance, and take 2016 out with you!

6. Insert your own random thought here.
Random means what ever flashes by my synapses when I am staring at the wall....Okay...
From Nation of Immigrators site

"I love the picture that I took of Torrey Pines Beach, from above, on the walk in, and I'll probably have it enlarged to use it as a wall hanging."  That reminds me that my seascape has to be hung up again before it gets scratched.  It was taken down when the roof leaked onto the chimney last February.

  2. I'm sorry you don't get to spend the holidays with your girls very often. I don't think I would take it very well if I couldn't be with my kids and grandkids. (In honesty, I DIDN'T take it well the couple of times that it happened. Threw myself a big ol' pity party.)

    1. Pity parties are allowed when it comes to missing out on the lives and special moments in the life of your kids. I invite you to mine, and we can break cookies in half and eat them after shaking all the calories out. Ok ? 😎😉

    1. Thank you, CountryDew. We can hope alive that the mature Adults running countries can overrule some two year olds running others, I reckon. Wasn’t China a surprise... but then, it’s a long, old civilization that has seen great changes. I am wishing you many blessings, too, and thanks so much. Keep hoping and please....
      Keep speaking your mind!

  5. I love that card/quote from Mr. Lincoln. Especially since he battled depression, and at a time when it was misunderstood. Inspiring words from a great man to start the new year!

  6. It's really inspirational to me. President Lincoln lost children. He had to make horrendously tough decisions in order to safe guard his nation, and through it all he maintained his resolve and his sanity. He's my go-to guy when I think of the strength necessary to old some sort of line against the the crushing burden that life can be at times. Yes, a very Great man....
